Eligibility Coordinator (Bilingual Mandarin & Cantonese)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate, and highly organized Eligibility Coordinator to support family enrollment in our center-based programs. In this role, you will help families navigate eligibility requirements, maintain accurate confidential records, and provide ongoing case management. This position requires strong bilingual communication in English and Chinese.

Key Responsibilities

Support enrollment and eligibility determination for families.
Verify income and service needs through direct communication with employers and families.
Maintain waiting lists, manage records, and ensure confidentiality across all documentation.
Prepare required notices, reports, and audit materials.
Participate in outreach, staff meetings, trainings, and community representation.
Assist with updates to internal policies, procedures, and documentation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience in customer service or social services; Associate Degree in Child Development preferred.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (written and verbal).
Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team.
Proficient computer and data entry skills; exceptional attention to detail and organization.
Must pass a criminal background check.
